Matt Irwin never thought he would make it to the NHL. He grew up in a small town in British Columbia and didn't come from a hockey family. But he had a dream, and he was willing to work hard to achieve it.


Matt started playing hockey as a child. He quickly fell in love with the sport and dedicated himself to improving. He played minor hockey, junior hockey, and college hockey before signing his first professional contract with the Boston Bruins in 2010.
