Hi, team! I'm back with another episode of the Stress Series. This week, we're talking about relaxing your nervous system. It's a hot topic these days, with everyone talking about parasympathetic nerves.
Here's the deal. There are two types of nervous systems: sympathetic (fight or flight) and parasympathetic (rest and digest). Living in a constant state of high stress can be addictive, but it's not good for our bodies in the long run.
Relaxation and healing happen in the parasympathetic nervous system. Oh, and guess what? You can activate it with cold plunges, saunas, stretching, slow movements, massages, and even singing and gargling.
Do you know what's most important and effective? Breathing. Yes, breathing techniques can relax your nervous system and make you feel better.
So, let's all take a moment to incorporate deep breathing and slow movements into our lives. This is a game-changer. And remember, if you missed the previous episodes in our Stress Series, go back and give them a listen.

Think of this three-part audio series as a mini daily treatment for healing and preventing pain/injury. When you incorporate proper breathing mechanics and muscle cueing for just a few minutes a day, your brain will relax the neurological tension and spasm and allow the relief to flow. It's a method I use in my practice, and I'm thrilled to share it with you.
